I got a bunch of brand new spindle prototypes today. They are lightweight (the smallest is 9g/0.3oz, the bigger ones 11g/0.4oz) and a little bit too light for my purpose. Then I got 2 larger ones (20g/0.7oz) and they spin like a dream. Currently I’m respinning the leftovers of a yarn I did some years ago. For a beginner it was a little bit tricky to manage the merino and silk mixture then, so I’m redoing it a little bit thinner and ply it properly. Back when I spun the fibers I knitted it as a single yarn into a clapotis scarf which I wear from autumn to spring whenever the weather calls for a warm neck. That’s why I couldn’t let this super soft yarn rot in my stash forever.
