August oh august
This August I was a lazy lazy blogger. But you know when to stop working with delicate fibers when your thread clings to your fingers because it’s simply to hot to keep them dry. And you know what? It’s ok to let loose. That’s what summer is for. Go outside, visit family and friends, make yourself happy with the abundance the outside gives in summer.
I took these pictures on our hort trip to my mothers place at the lake of constance. It’s the connection point of the three countries Austria, Germany and Switzerland. You can walk from the city of Constance to Kreuzlingen which is in Switzerland. I find it very amusing hopping over the border and back.
We took a ship tour on the lake in the morning and the light was spectacular. The water was calm because there where not many boats around yet and the morning mist was still laying an enchanted veil over the scenery. Both the lake and the sky where so incredibly crystal clear blue.
After that we vistited my sister in Stuttgart, which is a quite big city nested in the valley of many surrounding hills. It was a spectacular view, but I didn’t take my camera. Sometimes we have to enjoy seeing things with our own eyes only and avoid the distraction which comes with handling cameras.
I hope you enjoyed your August as I did! I’m looking forward to September bringing us knitting weather again 🙂
